Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the Russian Energy Week forum, said that the former GRU official, Sergey Skripal, poisoned in Salisbury, is a traitor to the motherland.
Professor, Doctor of Political Sciences Igor Panarin, speaking at the presentation of the Association “Information Special Forces” created by him, commented on Skripale poisoning and called the events that followed him a unique case of using information weapons.
“This is the first time in history when an absolutely fake informational event is packaged and used as a new weapon in a hybrid war against Russia, becoming the basis for the expulsion of diplomats and further actions,” said Igor Panarin.
The Infospetsnaz Association was created quite recently — on September 7.
The main tasks of the newly formed organization its creators call opposition to the use of information technologies for military-political purposes, contrary to international law. Informational campaign around the poisoning of Skripale is considered by the association members in this context.
