The media need to work out com­mon rules of the game in work­ing with inform­a­tion. Such an opin­ion was expressed to the cor­res­pond­ent of BelTA by the head of the Inform­a­tion Spet­snaz Asso­ci­ation (Rus­sia) Igor Panar­in.

 I am glad that I am par­ti­cip­at­ing in the media for­um, and I will try to express my approaches, even if they are con­tro­ver­sial. It is neces­sary to work out com­mon rules of the game on the inform­a­tion field. Inform­a­tion is a power­ful weapon that can both sta­bil­ize the situ­ation and have a neg­at­ive impact on mil­lions of people. Pro­fes­sion­als from dif­fer­ent coun­tries gathered at the for­um, which will enable us dur­ing the dis­cus­sion to devel­op joint recom­mend­a­tions that will be use­ful for each of the par­ti­cip­at­ing coun­tries, and Belarus will in a cer­tain sense be a lead­er on the glob­al media mar­ket, “Igor Panar­in said.

 From my point of view, the Minsk for­um is turn­ing into a world media site, which deals with the most press­ing prob­lems, espe­cially social media. I do not see any­thing sim­il­ar in the post-Soviet space. Con­firm­a­tion of this — a wide range of par­ti­cipants, includ­ing European, “- added the Rus­si­an expert.

XIII Belarus­i­an Inter­na­tion­al Media For­um “Part­ner­ship for the Future: A Digit­al Agenda for Media Sphere” opened today in Minsk. About 300 people take part in it, they are rep­res­ent­at­ives of about 30 coun­tries — not only CIS, but also far abroad. The event is held in the con­text of the imple­ment­a­tion of the tasks of digit­al­iz­a­tion of the space of the Euras­i­an Eco­nom­ic Uni­on, the con­struc­tion of the digit­al eco­nomy and inform­a­tion soci­ety in Belarus, qual­it­at­ive changes in the activ­it­ies of mod­ern media. At the same time, spe­cial atten­tion is planned to be giv­en to digit­al formats of media work, intro­duc­tion of new media man­age­ment tech­no­lo­gies, as well as cross-bor­der inform­a­tion chal­lenges and threats caused by act­ive entry into the pub­lic life of numer­ous online pub­lic­a­tions.
